Dyslexia Data

In accordance with requirements of Indiana SEA 217, each school corporation shall annually report the following information prior to July 15 each year.  The information below is for Seymour Community Schools, 2025-2026 School Year:

This was Seymour School’s first year implementing the Universal Statewide Acadience Screener per the IDOE requirements.

The dyslexia intervention programs to be used to assist students with identified with characteristics of dyslexia:

• Multi-Sensory Instruction
• UFLI Foundations structured literacy program
• Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum

The number of students who received intervention based on the characteristics ("At Risk" or "At Some Risk") of dyslexia that were identified:   There were 1089 students that received intervention for the SY 2025-2026.

Total number of students identified with characteristics of dyslexia during the school year (the number who were officially diagnosed with Dyslexia) Seymour Community Schools does not diagnose students with Dyslexia.  Our data does not show any parent communicated their child was diagnosed with Dyslexia:
SCSC identified a total of 0 students with characteristics of dyslexia for the SY 2025-2026.

SCSC will continue to monitor and track data.  The data will be made available on the corporation website and school’s reading plan each year.  Each academic year, SCSC will continue to report the intervention program(s) used, number of students who received dyslexia intervention(s), and total number of students identified with dyslexia during the school year.
