National Preparedness Month

- Prevent Falls: Secure rugs, tape down loose carpeting, and wear nonslip footwear.
- Secure Furniture: Anchor large furniture and televisions to prevent tipping.
- Baby-Proofing: Install safety latches on cabinets and toilets, cover electrical outlets, and place bumpers on sharp corners.
- Water Safety: Place non-skid mats or safety strips in the bathtub and install grab bars.
- Workplace Safety
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and practice emergency response plans, including knowing alarm systems and extinguisher use.
