WEBQUESTS

During the 2002 - 2003 school year Mr. Elliott participated in a program called TICKIT.  As a part of this teacher institute he learned to create student activities called WebQuests.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in these WebQuests during the school year.

"Spaghetti" Earthquake Webquest

In this WebQuest students will learn about earthquakes and how to design earthquake proof structures.

Elliott's Elements WebQuest

In this WebQuest students will create a PowerPoint presentation and give an Oral Report on one of the elements found on the Periodic Table.

"Older than Dirt" WebQuest

This WebQuest is an adaptation of an activity in the Indiana Science Grade 8 Curriculum Framework Guide called Extreme Temperatures. 
Students will learn about the role of the discovery of radioactivity in determining the age of the Earth.

 

Earth Day
WebQuest

 

Students will learn the benefits of the Earth's resources. They will create a Poster and make an Oral Report on their selected Earth Day topic.
